Wayfinding in a Geriatric Hospital

Understanding Wayfinding

in a Geriatric Hospital

In this studio exploration, a series of challenges in a geriatric facility was presented, one of which was troublesome, temporary wayfinding as a result of ongoing construction. Using a rapid literature review, our design research team explored problems first through the lens of the visitor, followed by a staff perspective. This approach allowed us to pinpoint areas of concern at both levels of experience and governance. The solution: target governance and ease staff implementation to improve experience.
